Please research how to care for this plant based on your own home environment. But this Alocasia will require higher humidity than most plants, and love a higher temperature. The Frydek prefers a balance when it comes to light and watering. Provide bright, indirect light and water once the top 2 inches of soil are dry.

Care Instructions

Light

They need bright indirect sunlight. Place them 2 to 3 feet from a window will supply them with enough to light to grow strong. Be sure that direct sunlight does not come in contact with the leaves, as this could burn the leaves.  They thrive in medium to bright indirect sunlight. Be aware that they are not suited to low light or direct sunlight - which may scorch their leaves. If the area your Alocasia is in has not enough light, consider using a grow light to boost its foliage.

Water

They will benefit from frequent misting, and keeping their soil moist but not wet. We recommend allowing the top 2 to 3 inches of soil to dry out between watering to prevent overwatering and root rot. It is not drought tolerant, extended periods of dryness will cause their leaves to brown.

Humidity

They will also appreciate being placed in a humid environment, which you can create by misting it frequently, placing it close to other plants, or on a pebble with some water.

Temperature

They will thrive in temperatures ranging from 18-25ºC. Avoid abrupt changes in temperature and cold drafts.
